Municipal Officials Leadership Institute

A certification program for New Mexico's elected municipal officials sponsored by New Mexico Municipal League

A limited number of scholarships are available to elected New Mexico municipal officials.  The purpose of these scholarships is to permit eligible individuals with a demonstrated financial need to attend the institute.  The scholarship amount will cover the registration fee for one session.  Participants will be responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and some meals.

 You may apply for a scholarship if you meet the following requirements:

1.     Candidate must be an elected municipal official.

2.     Candidate’s municipality must be a member in good standing with the New Mexico Municipal League.

3.     Candidate’s municipality must be eligible for funds under the Small Cities Fiscal Assistance Act.

4.     Candidate must write a narrative demonstrating a willingness to complete the program.

 If you meet these basic criteria, please complete the scholarship application, attach the necessary documents and return them to the New Mexico Municipal League no later than 30 days before the beginning date of the program session you wish to attend.

 The applications will be reviewed by the MOLI Scholarship Committee and you will be notified of their decision.
