Mission Statement
To give New Mexico municipal elected officials the knowledge and tools necessary to provide effective and ethical leadership to the citizens of their communities.

What is it? A voluntary three-tiered certification program for New Mexico municipal officials, designed to provide the knowledge and tools necessary for effective and ethical leadership. Participants who successfully complete all three levels will receive the distinguished designation of Certified Municipal Official (CMO) and receive a pin and plaque in recognition of their status. Participants must begin the course with the Education Program.

Who teaches the classes? The Speakers Bureau includes State elected officials, university professors, municipal officials, professional trainers, League staff and other experts in municipal issues.
